At last we are nearing completion of the fantastically detailed and very beautiful Ferrari 250TR Scaglietti ‘pontoon fender’ of 1957 at 1/8th scale. Here you can see many of the master parts assembled together on the bench to check fit before being put into rubber tooling to cast the parts for the first 15 models. The first finished model will be ready to photograph in early February. Both the bonnet and the boot lids will open to give a fine view of the engine and fuel tank.

September 16th, 2009Brief insight into Amalgams Bristol workshop
September 14th, 2009The Bristol workshop of Amalgam Fine Model cars primarily deals with the fulfillment of orders and repair of customers models that have been sent to us for rejuvenation.
Here we can see a damaged Ferrari California sent to us for repair from a customer. The front wing had suffered a bump. This was successfully repaired much like an auto-body shop would – filling, sanding and painting.
